Free COVID-19 Testing will be available for Tolleson residents & JBS employees only conducted by Valle de Sol.
No appointment is needed but pre-registration is avaiable online at https://bit.ly/vdstolleson or download the print form.
Available on a first-come-first-served basis and individuals can be tested from the comfort of their vehicle or on foot.
What to bring:
*NOTE: Valle del Sol is not doing antibody testing at this time. This test will only determine if an individual is currently positive for COVID-19. Testing results are confidential and will ONLY be provided to individuals being tested.

Tolleson Mayor and Council passed a proclamation declaring the week of May 17-23, 2020 as Emergency Medical Services Week in the City of Tolleson. We hope you join us in recognizing the value and the accomplishments of the members of the Tolleson Fire Department. From the City of Tolleson, thank you to the entire team at the Fire Department for being on the front lines every day.
Tolleson Mayor and Council passed a proclamation recognizing June 14, 2020 to be the United States Army’s 245th Birthday, expressing appreciation, on behalf of the people of Tolleson, to the United States Army and to the dedicated soldiers who have served in it over the 245 years it has been in existence.
Tolleson employees take top honors in National and State Awards. Members of Tolleson's Field Operations Department were notified that they were selected for 4 statewide awards, and 1 national award, by the American Public Works Association (APWA).
Gabriel Elias, Field Operations Superintendent and Tolleson native, was awarded the Professional Manager of the Year - Public Right of Ways, for both the State of Arizona and the United States.
Jim Boehnlein, Field Operations Superintendent, was selected as the Professional Manager of the Year -Facilities and Grounds, for the State of Arizona.
Mike Marquez, Traffic Operations Technician, was awarded the Award of Merit. This prestigious honor is the state's top technical award at the operational level and was based on Mike's most recent three years of accomplishments, all with Tolleson.
The City was also awarded the 2020 APW A Project of the year-Structures in the Small Cities/Rural Communities category for the alley gate/ access program. Leveraging partnerships within the community, the program was able to aid in the reduction of crime, while drastically decreasing costs to the City related to illegal dumping.
"Every day the men and women of this department seek ways to innovate and better serve our community, and these recognitions are a testament to their hard work, the guidance of city management and the leadership of our Council," said Jamie McCracken, Tolleson's Field Operations Director. "We thank APW A and APW A-Arizona Chapter for bestowing these great honors on our staff and our City."
The City of Tolleson celebrated staff members from Banner Estrella during National Hospital Week. City staff supported small Tolleson businesses by purchasing food and sharing with staff a Taste of Tolleson from Irma's Mexican Food, Tamales Guadalajara, Tacos Culiacan, La Careta de Lilly, Memphis Best BBQ, and Chartwells. A special thank you to our community partner QuikTrip for donating donuts for the entire staff. As these times have been trying, the City of Tolleson would like to thank all essential workers and encourage everyone to support local businesses.
